Sydney.Tarnowski@WHPSchool.com

Sydney Tarnowski joined Woodland Hills Private School in 2025, bringing warmth, creativity, and a passion for inspiring young learners. She holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara, along with additional coursework in early childhood development and education. Sydney has worked with children across all elementary grade levels but discovered her true calling in first and second grade, where she loves nurturing curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. Prior to joining WHPS, she led the first and second grade at another beloved progressive school in Los Angeles whose values closely align with those of WHPS, but which was unfortunately impacted by the 2025 wildfires. Known for her strong organizational skills, collaborative spirit, and ability to build meaningful connections with students and families, “Miss T.” is dedicated to creating a supportive, engaging classroom where every child can thrive, grow in confidence, and develop a genuine love for learning.

Mission Statement

My mission is to create a classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired. I want kids to feel excited each time they walk through our classroom door. It's important to me that they build a positive relationship with learning from a young age. Most of all, I want every student to feel confident in their abilities, even when they face challenges!
