Extracurricular Programs
Spring Session
March 2, 2026 - May 15, 2026
Learning doesn’t stop when the school day ends. It shifts into hands-on, high-energy experiences across STEM, robotics, coding, dance, sports, visual and performing arts, and creative design. Our trimester-based program evolves throughout the year, giving students space to explore new interests, build confidence, collaborate with peers, and develop real-world skills.

Extended care is recreational after-school care until 6:00 pm. Extended Care is supervised by WHPS staff and may include daily special crafts or activities. Extended care is available daily on an as-needed basis or monthly at a discounted rate.
Note: As-needed Preschool Extended Care is subject to availability depending on allowable class ratios.
-
While we do use homework sparingly and purposefully, there is a small amount of homework that begins in 1st grade. As a free service to children using Extended Care, a WHPS teacher provides a snack and assists students while they complete any homework

While Spanish is part of the normal school day, Mandarin or another foreign language is typically offered as an after-school extracurricular.

WHPS sponsors a Cub Scouts group that meets on campus on Tuesday evenings and some weekends. The group is open to elementary students of any gender.
