Melanie Henson has worked in the field of education since 2005 and has been a member of the WHPS community since 2006. She is a graduate of Harvard's School Management & Leadership program and holds dual degrees in Elementary Education and Zoology from UCSB and CSUN, along with undergraduate coursework in Early Childhood Education.
Melanie brings classroom teaching and school leadership experience spanning early childhood through elementary education. Throughout her time at WHPS, she has helped develop and lead the implementation of many of the school's signature programs, practices, and traditions. As Elementary Principal, she leads the school's academic program, supports faculty, and works closely with students and families. Melanie is also a proud WHPS parent, giving her both a professional and personal perspective on the school community.
