Kara Burns began her career in education in 2002 and has been part of the WHPS community since 2021, first teaching in our summer program. She brings extensive experience across elementary grades, including more than a decade teaching Kindergarten through fifth grade in Las Virgenes Unified School District.

Kara’s strengths include differentiated instruction, individualized learning, and creating engaging classrooms that support a wide range of learners. Her experience includes serving as a grade-level lead teacher, five years teaching in a Spanish dual-language immersion program, and extensive work in both early childhood and elementary education.
